Messages, results, forms, bills and video visits live in the patient portal, not on this website.
The website links to the portal. It never handles what the portal does.
Why the portal is separate
On a real practice's site, the Patient Portal button opens the practice's portal, provided by its electronic health record vendor under a business associate agreement.
The website and the portal are deliberately separate. The website is public and holds no health information. The portal is private, covered by HIPAA safeguards and built for your health data. Keeping them apart is the single biggest privacy decision a practice website makes.
This demo has no portal, because it has no patients.
